Back to School + After School events

Calgary AfterSchool is hosting an interactive resource event named “Back to School + After School” at two locations, in partnership with Sunridge Mall and Northland Village Mall. These events are free and are open to all Calgarians.

Participants will have the chance to come out and gain information about what free after-school programs are being offered for ages 6 – 16 in nearby communities, enjoy interactive games that are offered by many different program providers, sign up for programs and have a chance to win a gift basket with $50 in gift cards.
  • The Sunridge Mall Event is Saturday September 10, 2011 from 12 (noon) – 3 p.m.
  • The Northland Village Mall Event is Saturday September 17, 2011 from 12 (noon) – 3 p.m
Come out, browse the exhibits, talk to the program providers and win free stuff.

Agencies include: Antyx Community Arts, Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Calgary and Area, The Calgary Bridge Foundation for Youth, Boys and Girls Clubs of Calgary, Calgary Catholic Immigration Society, Calgary Immigrant Women Association, Calgary Public Library, City of Calgary, CNS – East Area Office & North Area Office, City of Calgary, Recreation, Coalition for Equal Access to Education, Cardel Place, Families Matter, Alberta Health Services, Immigrant Services Calgary and YMCA.

Calgary AfterSchool connects youth between the ages of 6-16 with fun, safe and affordable programs between the hours of 3-6pm. We house a wide variety of programs that are designed to help kids do better in school, learn new skills, and stay healthy.
