City of Calgary Arts Centres… More than you can Imagine

Calgarians of all ages are invited to enrich and enhance their lives through creative expression. The City’s two arts centres provide an abundance of visual and performing arts opportunities including seasonal programming and custom programming.

We offer programs for all ages and abilities in clay, drawing/painting, dance, drama, sculpture, and mixed media. Calgary's art centres also provide a fabulous venue for events ranging from corporate team building to children’s birthday parties. Artists will deliver a fun art project, a lively dance, or a drama adventure tailored to the age group and interests of the participants.Adult ceramists who are able to work without instruction are also invited to become members of our ceramic studio.

We will deliver an existing program to your group or have our arts specialists custom design a visual arts experience for you, whether it’s an art experience for a class fieldtrip or a fun, team-building event for your office staff.

The arts provide an opportunity for self expression and help children gain confidence. We have been celebrating children’s artistic achievements every year at the Children’s Art Show. 2012 represents the 25th annual Children’s Art Show, which runs from May 3 - May 16 at Triangle Gallery of Visual Arts.

Pick up a copy of the Recreation Program guide at any of our recreation facilities (arts centres, arenas, pools or leisure centres). Or, search and register online at calgary.ca/recreation/programs.
