Enjoy a performative sculpture ceremony at the North Mount Pleasant Arts Centre

Wooden sculptures will be burning bright this Saturday night as local artists set their instalments alight.

On February 25 at 7 p.m., artists Matthew Mark and Sarah Smalik will be partaking in a performance sculpture ceremony in the field adjacent to the North Mount Pleasant Arts Centre.

"Our artists make Calgary the fascinating city that it is, so our work is to support them as much as we possibly can," says Rachael Seupersad, superintendent of The City's Arts and Culture department.

The wood sticks that comprise the sculpture will be pre-treated with specific solutions so the fire will burn different colours.
