Mayor Nenshi has proclaimed March 29 as ‘Dress Western Day’, so dust off your cowboy hats, boots and buckles and make your way down to this western celebration.Calgary's five food trucks will also be on hand serving up some amazing food for only a buck-a-truck! The Calgary Stampede will be announcing the much anticipated Stampede Parade Marshal and the upcoming citywide Stampede celebrations during the lunch hour.
All of Calgary’s citizens, organizations and businesses to come together and take part in this free, once-in-a-lifetime event. The first 5,000 cowboys and cowgirls to arrive at Olympic Plaza will receive a commemorative cowbell.
