Toast 'n' Jam now accepting band applications

Know anyone under the age of 18 that likes to jam?

Since 2003, The City's Community & Neighbourhood Services have used the Toat 'n' Jam festival to improve the musical development people under the age of 18 by allowing them to play a live show in front of up to 300 people.

Toast 'n' Jam provides youth bands an opportunity to perform live at an established venue and get insider info from Calgary-based music professionals on how to book a gig, make a living in the music industry, take control of the stage and more.

Successful applicants will not only perform live on stage, but also participate in an Industry Weekend Conference and Jam session. The weekend will incorporate an open Jam and sessions featuring our Toast 'n' Jam partners to provide some of the most exciting and insightful information for aspiring professional musicians.

Head over to the Toast n' Jam website for more information about this year's program and to fill out the application package. Applications are due on Friday April 20th, 2012 at 4 p.m. Best of luck to all that apply!

Toast 'n' Jam 2012 performances will take place on Thursday August 16 and Friday, August 17, 2012.

Find more information about Toast 'n' Jam on,  by visiting, or by contacting 3-1-1 (or 403-268-2489 if calling from outside Calgary).
