Lost purse returned to its rightful owner

Great teamwork on the part of two Calgary Transit operators and lost property staff has ensured a lost purse containing close to $1,500 in cash was returned to the rightful owner.

Maria Castedo, a new resident to Calgary from Bolivia, was on a Calgary Transit bus Monday night when her purse slipped away from her as she left the vehicle.

Thanks to a pair of caring bus drivers, Jack Wyse and Sultan Yusofi, the purse was turned in to Calgary Transit’s lost property unit staff, who were able to track down the grateful owner.

“I am so happy. Thank you very much,” said Castedo, who with her husband, Carlos, have only been in Calgary for about two weeks.
