The Calgary Public Library set to launch its Centennial Book

The Calgary Public Library is launching its publication, The Calgary Public Library: Inspiring Life Stories Since 1912, by award-winning author and local historian, Brian Brennan, to commemorate a century (1912 – 2012) of public library service in Calgary at a public event at Memorial Park Library (1221, 2 St S.W.) on Thursday, May 17 at 7 p.m.


Brian Brennan will introduce the book; recount meaningful stories of the people and events that shaped our history; as well as offer interview opportunities.

The Calgary Public Library: Inspiring Life Stories Since 1912 will be added to the Library’s circulating collection for customers to borrow.  It is also available to purchase at select bookstores, Memorial Park library, the Calgary Public Library Foundation, and online at www.goodREAD.ca with proceeds going to support the Calgary Public Library Foundation.
