Rain barrel and composter sale coming to a community near you

Ask one in three Calgarians already using a rain barrel - they're easy to install, use and maintain.
“Three great things happen when you use a rain barrel: you have a free source of soft, non-chlorinated water – which your plants love, you reduce your water bills and you help conserve water,” says Heather Hendrie, Public Program Coordinator with The City of Calgary.

Green Calgary, in partnership with The City of Calgary, First Calgary Financial and Greengate Garden Centres Ltd., is hosting a number of educational sales events in local communities throughout the spring and summer.

At each of these sales, Calgarians can purchase rain barrels and composters, and get some free advice on how to install and use them.

Rain barrels start from $65, composters start from $40. All proceeds from these community events support Green Calgary.Cash, cheque, MC and Visa will be accepted on site.
