Grey Cup coming to Anderson Station this Saturday!

The Canadian Football League’s Grey Cup is coming to Anderson Station this Saturday, September 22!

The “Fan Celebration” will take place at the Anderson Station Park and Ride lot from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. when the Grey Cup arrives on a Canadian Pacific Railway train to celebrate the 100th year of the CFL and the legendary Grey Cup.

The Grey Cup 100 Tour began in Vancouver on Sept. 7 and ends in Toronto the weekend before the Grey Cup on Nov. 25. The tour will make 10 major stops including the stop in Calgary and the remaining seven home cities of CFL teams.

Calgary Transit is a proud partner and encourages customers to use the CTrain to get to and from Anderson Station for the Saturday event as there will be limited parking.

Fans will be able to tour the train and visit the Museum Car, Team Car and have their photo taken with the cup in the Grey Cup car.

Reebok will be there to give fans the chance to win 2013 season tickets. Canada Post will be there to give fans the chance to purchase their very own CFL stamps and other commemorative Grey Cup collectibles.

Telus will be onsite with its Penny Press and an opportunity to be part of the Fan Cup. Telus will also have a virtual punt, pass and kick game.

RONA will present the Skills and Drills mini field. There will be musical entertainment, face painting, and a chance for fans to compare their hands and feet with their favourite CFL players.
