|Inglewood Bird Sanctuary suffered extensive damage during the June 2013 flood.|
The good news is a lot of progress has been made over the past three-plus months, thanks to the diligence of Parks staff and generous assistance from volunteers.
The City initially closed 30 parks and 93 km of pathway. Today, only Bowness Park and Weaslehead Flats remain fully closed (the regional pathway through Weaslehead is open). Nearly 60 km of pathway have reopened and detours have been created wherever possible for repairs requiring more time.
