You're invited to Baconfest!

Planning, Development & Assessment at The City of Calgary are kicking off 2014 with Baconfest – a film festival exploring a film series by renowned Architect, Ed Bacon (also Kevin’s father)! In addition to the Bacon series the festival will also have select other screenings on a range of city building topics – 11 film screenings in total over seven nights throughout January and February.

“This is a great networking and learning opportunity. I encourage the public to attend the event to provide a critical perspective in these planning discussions”, explains PDA General Manager, Rollin Stanley.

This is a free event and everyone is welcome – professionals and the public alike. Nightly events will include film screening(s) on city building and an enthusiastic discussion following the films.

The event is in partnership with the APPI, DIRTT and the Calgary Public Library.

Where: Dutton Theatre (Central Library)
When: Events will run from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesdays in January and February:

  • January: 8, 15, 22, 29
  • February: 12, 19, 26
