Calgary’s Expert Management Panel on River Flood Mitigation releases final report

An Expert Management Panel was created on July 23 of last year to steer The City's River Flood Mitigation Program and to find ways of reducing damage due to any future river flooding.

The Program work was divided into six theme areas each focused on a specific area of study and in January of this year, a wide range of external experts were invited to generate and assess options for each of the six themes under study. This information has been distilled into a series of recommendations which the Panel has determined will lead to a safer, more flood resilient city.
