Celebrating the Queen's Diamond Jubilee

February 6th marks the 60th anniversary of the accession to the throne of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

To acknowledge the occasion, The City of Calgary will ring the bell in City Hall clock tower at 6 p.m. on Monday. The carillon at the Calgary Tower will also chime at this time.

Any places of worship or buildings that have bells or carillons are welcome to join The City in marking this occasion.

The Queen is only the second UK monarch to mark 60 years on the throne. Diamond Jubilee celebrations will be held across Canada throughout 2012.
