This Halloween send your trick-or-treaters swimming by handing out City Recreation swim coupons instead of traditional Halloween treats.“We are all about keeping kids active and it is great knowing we are helping to provide a healthy alternative to the traditional treats.” said Doug Bruneau, Aquatics & Fitness Supervisor with City of Calgary Recreation.
For the past seven years, City Recreation has offered swim coupons to handout out to trick-or-treaters on Halloween. And for the past seven years the limited edition coupons sell out well before Halloween.
“On Halloween Calgarians can simply pull a swim coupon from the booklet and drop it into the trick-or-treaters Halloween bags. Coupons also make great party favours at kids Halloween parties or other Halloween inspired events,” shares Bruneau.
Coupons are for children, aged 2 to 17, to redeem at any City Aquatic & Fitness Centre from November 1 through to December 31, 2013.
Calgarians can purchase the coupon booklets from a variety of City locations or online at cityonline.calgary.ca. The swim coupons are on sale until October 31. They are in booklets of 10 and sell for $5. For more information visit calgary.ca/Recreation.
