Saturday, downtown CTrain Service Disruption on 7 Avenue

The CTrain service along 7 Avenue downtown will be closed tomorrow, Saturday, Jan. 7, for LRT overhead wire maintenance from the early morning until about 2 p.m.

You'll be able to access CTrains at City Hall Stations going to and from Somerset-Bridlewood and McKnight-Westwinds Stations. The CTrains will also operate between Crowfoot and SAIT Stations.

Shuttle buses will replace CTrain service on 7 Avenue and connect Lions Park Station, downtown stops and City Hall Station.

The powerful winds this week gave reason for readjustment and reinforcement on 7 Avenue's overhead power wire. With more potentially cold weather and windy days on the horizon, The City plans to conduct the maintenance as soon as possible, yet during a time of less traffic.
